I read this book in the span of 6 hours yesterday. That`s a good thing :)
I feel like a received a punch in the stomach. That`s a good thing too :)
The story follows a fifteen years old LINA with her younger brother and mother on a journey from their homeland to labor camps where they suffered << an understatement >> for years.
Problem is this fiction book is probably true. People actually did suffer all these inhumane circumstances and they died horrible deaths feeling nothing, empty and insignificant while no one knew of their existence.
Back to the book, the story never dulls with great writing accompanied by these very strong and hopeful characters even the pessimistic ones ;) some brutal situations are ,, well brutal and heartbreaking but i won't say anymore its AMAZING.
